"Data Protection Day 2020: Facing New Challenges" held by the Croatian Agency for Personal Data Protection (AZOP)

As the presidency of the Council of the European Union rotates among the EU member states every six months, during this 6-months period, Croatia chairs the presidency meetings at all levels in the EU Council. Thus, members of Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority, Dr. İhsan Ezel BÜYÜKSEKBAN , Mr. Bayram ARSLAN  and Personal Data Protection Expert Ahmet SÖNMEZ have participated in the "Data Protection Day 2020: Facing New Challenges" held by the Croatian Agency for Personal Data Protection (AZOP) on 16th January 2020 in Zagreb, Croatia.

The representatives of both public and private sector have attended at the Conference to discuss progress made towards increased personal data protection. During the Conference specialists dealing with data protection issues e.g. entrepreneurs, legal advisers, specialist from EU institutions, as well as representatives of different ministries, public bodies and institutions, academic community and NGOs had opportunity to exhange views. Mr. Davor Božinović, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia had also made an opening speech along with different Croatian Ministers at the event.
