The 31st European Conference of Data Protection Authorities, also known as the Spring Conference, took place in Budapest, Hungary from 10th to 12th May 2023. The Conference served as a platform for data protection authorities from various European countries to come together and engage in vital discussions regarding the developments in personal data protection. Representing our Authority, President Prof. Dr. Faruk BİLİR and Personal Data Protection Expert Ahmet Miraç SÖNMEZ attended this significant event.

The Hungarian Data Protection Authority took the helm as the host of the Conference. The event featured panels focusing on the profound societal implications of emerging technologies across various sectors, as well as exploring the interplay between data protection and competition law.

During the Conference, it was announced that the next gathering will be hosted by the Latvian Data Protection Authority.
