32nd Conference of European Data Protection Authorities held in Latvia

Within the scope of the Spring Conference, which brings together the Data Protection Authorities in the Council of Europe countries every year in May, this year the Spring Conference was held in Riga, the capital of Latvia, hosted by the Latvian Data Protection Authority on 14-16 May and attended by Prof. Dr. Faruk BİLİR, President of the Authority, representing our Agency.

Among the themes addressed this year were the current decisions of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights on personal data, the effects of the newly enacted legislation in the EU (Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act and Data Governance Act) on data protection authorities, and possible cooperation between data protection authorities. The Spring Conference also adopted a Resolution on co-operation between member authorities.
