The 46th Global Privacy Assembly (GPA) Conference, hosted by the Jersey Data Protection Authority from October 28 to November 1, 2024, brought together leading figures in the field of data protection. KVKK President, Prof. Dr. Faruk BİLİR, along with an accompanying delegation, represented our Authority at the event.

The Conference featured participation from data protection authorities, international organizations, private sector representatives, and non-governmental organizations.

During the first three days, public sessions addressed key topics such as AI and ethics, the role of privacy in humanitarian crises, cross-border data transfers, the protection of children's personal data, and cybersecurity. The final two days were reserved for closed-door meetings among data protection authorities, where GPA Working Group reports were reviewed, and Resolutions were adopted.
